The indoor units are factory set to read return temp from the return air thermistor built into the unit.
So if the indoor units will all detect the temperature of the room via the return air. -

Indoor units has built-in external input, but you can only ON or OFF the unit.
If you want to send the signal with a few parameters (MODE, SET TEMPERATURE, FAN SETTING) you need to use External Switch Controller (UTY-TERX).
This option include two independent inputs which you can configure freely.
So you can set up that:
• INPUT 1 → open → SCENE 1
• INPUT 1 → close → SCENE 2
• INPUT 2 → open → SCENE 3
• INPUT 2 → close → SCENE 4
This option is connected to REMOTE CONTROLLER port at indoor unit.
